First I need to mention that this wine was bought purely for the name on the label. I mean, if nothing else it’s incredibly intriguing. Secondly, I’d like to mention that I have never, in fact, tried cat pee. I, therefore, cannot comment on any comparisons.

This sauvignon blanc wine has a fruity first taste, and is smooth going down. Further sips along and I feel like this has a refreshing apple taste to it. Definitely doesn’t taste like cat pee – or at least how I’d imagine cat pee to taste like. I’d recommend this wine as a great wine for reuniting with friends on a patio on a warm summer day!

Taste: 4/5

Overall: 4/5

  1. What a name. I think I would be uncomfortable to purchase or drink this wine! I’m glad to hear it doesn’t taste as bad as it sounds! :)

  2. I was at the Wine Shop yesterday & had already made my purchase – and when walking out of the store I spotted an “Empty Box” from this Cat’s Pee Wine! So i stopped to see what is was – and with New Zealand Sav Blanc being one of my all time favorites I went and found myself a bottle! Love the label too of course – very quirky! can’t wait to drink it!!
